Benefits of Zoom Yoga

Nothing can beat going to a yoga class and being with other like minded people, enjoying the atmosphere and having a skilled and attentive teacher inspiring you with your practice.

However these aren’t normal times and as we can’t practice face to face we can still keep our yoga going strong with Zoom. Even if you are not hot on technology Zoom is actually very easy to get your head round.

Dare I say that some people are actually enjoying Zoom yoga more than the real thing! And its not at all surprising when you think of the benefits and here are just a few:

  • You can practice in the privacy of your own home – you can use your space as you wish. Add scented candles, fluffy blankets, cushions, relaxing music and make it your own haven
  • You don’t have to travel – so not taking too much time out of your schedule and also meaning that at the end of the class when you are beautifully relaxed you don’t then have to journey home
  • You can practice anonymously – no one is watching what you do so you don’t have to feel under pressure to ‘perform’
  • You are not practising with other people – no one to compare yourself to and no one to make you feel you’re not as good as them
  • You have space – no worrying about falling out of a balance onto your neighbour or hitting them in the face with your Warrior 2 arms
  • You can see and hear the yoga teacher – no tall person to have to look round just in front of you
  • It is normally cheaper as a yoga teacher doesn’t have to pay rent on a hall
